Slow boot after virus clean

I cleaned a virus from my pc. Now it takes 3:45min to go from logon to desktop with icons and the pc sometimes fails to reconnect network drives. Also takes 2min plus to open My Computer for the first time after logon.

Felix77, it's always possible your cleaner removed some needed files. If so, restore (puts nasty back too) and use a different cleaner.
Before you do that, go to 'startup' in your control panel and make sure you don't have a bunch of unneeded junk. If you need it, find a list of 'musts' @:
