Hi again, my PC is taking a lot longer to boot up these days and once booted, everything opens much slower than before, at least for the first time, then it's about the same speed.
The only thing that I've changed is to install SP2 and update to AVG 7.
I've even done a fresh install but it's still a lot longer to boot, ( actually pauses on the the moving windows bar).
Any Ideas what I've done ? cause I'm baffled !
Thanks

Thanks to you all

Merry Christmas

The thing is it's changed, cause it used to boot at a fair rate, but now, even I notice the difference, ( even after a fresh install, with only SP2 & AVG 7 )

I'd just like to know what I've done !

Cheers

Merry Xmas,
Did you check the computer's mfg. website for any neccessary updates to be installed BEFORE installing SP2? Could be a cause of problem.
Just a thought,
XDon
