I remember seeing in the XP setup that it required 1088mb to install. I just installed Windows XP, and it took up 1.6gb! Is there anyway to make it smaller. I know a huy who had XP on a 1.2gb HD and a 1.5gb Hard drive.

The full version of XP would be much larger than the upgrade disk.

You can also use a program called XP 2000 Lite to take out more Microsoft add-ons.

jimbob-- Saw your message above and just read up on XPLite. Have you tried it? Also, does XPLite have a forum, or is there a forum dealing with the program? Thanks for any additional info.

Im kinda limited to OSes. XP takes too much to install, 2000 is resource hungry, and Me is buggy. And I dont like 98se. Ill just keep XP, it actually runs great. I guess 1.5gb out of 4.5gb isnt that bad. I could be using a small HD like 1.2 or 2.5. lol.
funny, I saw XP on a 100mhz/64mb, and on a 200mhz/64mb. Im about to test it on one of mine older systems. Im taking the HD from this and putting it in my 100mhz with 64mb. lol.
