Is there any hardware that I load my boxes of slides into and transer to jpeg on my computer? It would be much easier for me to do it at home because I could organize them as I do them. Thanks for any help.

Nikon ED-4000 and batch slide reader.
The scanner is about $1100 and the reader another $400.

Yes. It's called a film scanner. Some flatbeds have film scanners integrated into them. You might look for one that uses Digital Ice technology which removes scratches and dust spots on the fly.
