Hi all
I have a maxtor 80GB as my OS/primary drive and installed a WD160GB a year ago. Both running like breeze until last week, my computer slowed down. I couldn't launch XP and after much fiddling, unplugged my slave drive and XP booted fine.
I hooked up the slave again and only find the computer slowing down again. XP recognizes my partitioned slave drive, but this time as Drive F: and G: (i have named it something else). Impossible to open the drives, nor re-format. usually hangs if i try to do so. Nothing important in the slave so i don't mind reformatting it. But i'm not even sure if the drive is down.
Any experience with this problem?

Never had the problem, but you could try changing cables to make the problem drive the master and run WD utilities to check it out.
