I'm not familiar with a Sky+ box, but I assume that it is (or can be) connected to a TV. If your PC has a video input adapter like the following:

Then I 'think' it should be possible.

hi

no you cannot not just with a s video lead, (there are scart to usb capture leads but i cant say ive seen one working) with a suitable usb capture device tho its possible,
s video out of plus box to usb svideo capture device (dongle)

final quality is average imo,

the best way to do this is sky + s video or scart direct to standalone dvd recorder/player.

then once youve got the original on dvd edit it on you laptop with suitable software.

content from a sky+ plus hd to a another
rcordable dvice.

tip 1

select and film or programe on the sky listings
programming guide add to the planner and hit the r button
and wait for it to record .

tip 2

once your programe or movie to finish recording
and i will tell you the best way in tip 3

tip 3

the best way is to have an dvd hdd recorder set up with the box before copying on to your dvd hdd clear much room
on the hdd and once done go to your planner on your sky+
had box select the program to your dvd hdd on your recorder
and the sky+ plus hd will aske you to select before copying .

tip 4

once selected your content will automaticaly copy
from the sky+ plus hd box to your dvd hdd recorder
once done rename title on your dvd hdd recorder
and if you wish you can keep or delete content
from your sky+ plus hd .

tip 5

just sit back and watch your copied content on your dvd hdd function on your recorder .
