size of wiaservc.log not valid

OS: Win XP pro
CPU/Ram: P4-1.6/256

Now everytime turn on pc, pc bootup to desktop. it stay on desktop only few second, suddenly shot off. then re-start up with run check a disk.

after first run check a disk, error message said: " The size of Windows/Wiaservc.log entry not valid ".

PC keep run check a disk for one more time ( sometime twice), until no more error message,
then everything is fine.

I don't know how to fix this error message ?
What is mean " size of wiaservc not valid " ?

Please help to fix this problem.
