Is there any why to prevents sites from popping up? Some times you type a url address then go back to another browser window & then the first window pops up at the top of the window you are viewing. Is there a way to stop that?

Omda, most popups are ads. there're several popup blocker proggies (some better than others) around or Firefox has an excellent one built in. HTH. Ed in Texas.
That was not what I meant. I am talking about sites that force it's way at the top of your screen. As I said; you have two browser windows, you type a url in one then go to the next to type another url, then the first one takes over & comes at the top of your monitor's screen. Is there anyway to stop that from happening?
