My computer is a HP Pavilion 551 W, with a SiS 650 chipset... Last week my hard drive was formatted (somehow... not by me) anyway I have XP Pro back on, and it says that it found new hardware, Multimedia Audio Controllers and SiS 7012 Audio Drivers. After the new hardware boxes, an error box appears, saying that the hardware can't be installed because "the name is in use as either a service name or a service display name".

I delete the devices in the Device Manager, as tech support sites and HP says, but when I restart my computer, I keep getting the same messages. And looking around on the internet, apparently this is an issue w/ the SiS 7012 and Win XP...

I'm totally lost as to what that error means, as do the folks at HPs customer support. Anyone...?
