As much as I hate to admit my ignorance, I still feel the need to ask if I need Simple TCP/IP Services installed.
Since I'm not networking (no ther pc's reliant/connected to mine), the only windows components services "Netwroking Services" I have ticked are...
Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client
UPnP Unser Interface
..and as the os seems healthy enough, I hate asking about Simple TCP/IP Services, but when would one need those services installed?
I ask because I read about some VoIP related things (above my head) that might seem to say that VoIP needs Simple TCP/IP Services running, but my Skype runs just fine w/o it.
Okay, please quit laughing long enough to reply back.

Here is a start, plenty more there.

I appreciate the replies, but as indicated, I've already done what homework I'm capable of comprehending.
Please, I'm seeking the most general comments regarding what my type of user might need Simple TCP/IP Services.
Even one or two of the most common uses would really be appreciated.
