Okay. Here is the question.

I have Emachines desktop with Windows XP Home SP2. I need to install Windows XP Pro because of some problems, anyways i need to go from Windows XP Home to Pro. But i dont have an UPGRADE cd, i have a FULL INSTALL cd. Now when i try to install it without formating it (i cant backup or kill the data that is on my hard drive, cause i cant, dont ask why) it says having two OS can cause problems. now i thought this for a minute. Does a FULL INSTALL cd install another OS in a disk when there is another OS in it? or does it install over it even thought it is FULL INSTALL cd? if it is the first one, now can i order it to install it on top of Windows XP Home?

Have you tried starting the comp with the CD in the drive & booting from the CD.

You will need to change the bios to boot from cd 1st.
