*Sigh* Ok ive posted on this a few other times about problems ive been having and i still cant get my comp to work so ima try again:
OS: XP Pro
MOBO: EliteGroup K7VTA
PROCESSOR: 1.2 AMD Athlon ThunderBird
VIDEO: EliteGroup 64MB AGP315T
SOUND: SoundBlaster Live!
HARD DRIVE: Western Digital 40GB 7200 RPM
RAM: 1024 SDRAMThe Errors Im Getting:
-DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL (blue screen)
-something about win32.sys not valid (blue screen)
-Something about some PFN_LIST_???
-And some more, these are the only ones I know off the top of my head
-Sometimes it wont even boot up into Windows. Itll get to the XP startup screen and the little blue bars just keep going like its doing something but doesnt. Sometimes ill tell it to boot to safe mode and it freezes after it lists all those files. Ive gotten into windows and the screen will turn green with a lighter greeen thick border around it. Or itll just plain freeze in while i may be doing something.WHAT I HAVE DONE:
-Flashed BIOS
-Bought new video card to what i have now and updated XP drivers from the site
-Tried updates sound drivers from soundblaster but it says that i dont have soundblaster live on my comp when i know i do.MY QUESTIONS FOR YOU:
I have an older (about 7 years old) 21" monitor (the ones that are really deep in size) that i dont have the drivers for so i just set it up as a plug and play monitor...could this be a problem?
Is there anything else that i could possibly do to fix this? I am a college student so i cant afford a new one and this is the first comp that ive built so ill be damned if i pay to get it fixed. Somone please help and dont point me to any other sites or tell me to read someone elses quuesitons from this site because i have seen them all. If u cant help please do not reply. Thank u for any and all responses. Feel free to email me at the above address.
