I recently switched from cable to DSL and my ISP supplied modem is the Siemens SpeedStream 4100 which I initially presumed as identical to the 4200 AFAIK.
I just looked over the datasheet and do realize the 4200 is actually a combo (USB + Ethernet) modem.
My question now is why connect via USB vs ethernet?
