Specs: Windows XP
I am running XP with a NetgearWG111v3 router and cradlepoint wifi. For the past week, my computer will automatically shutdown and restart and often say the netgear software needs reinstalled. Any suggestions as to what the problem is?? I have run virus scans, defragged, restarted.

I do not know how a router software problem could cause your computer to shut down. While it can interfere with your internet connection, it should not affect your system directly. You can however update the firmware of your router by going to the manufacturer's website and downloading the latest version and the instructions to do it. This does however sound like an infection of a sort, Try updating your antivirus software and also running Malwarebytes to help pick up what it might have missed.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
