Shutdown prob + Show desktop hotkey?

Hi,
Two things about XP:
1. The only time it seems to shut down properly (i.e. it actually turns the psu off) is when I have not played any games. Any ideas?
2. I want to use a hotkey to perform the same effect as clicking the "show desktop" icon on the taskbar. I know you can do this via the 'Winkey' but I use an old (rugged) IBM keyboard that does not have one. Is there another way of say, using F10, to do this?

1. Not a clue.
2. There might be some kind of program that assigns special "Hotkeys" to other keys than the typical ones already assigned. Look in CNET or something like that.
1. Could be a broblem with the graphics card, try downloading the latest drivers and see if it works.

Hi,
Thank you for your responses.
I have tried a couple of different versions of the graphics driver ( I thought the same ) without much success. I'll have to spend a little more time isolating the problem on that one...
When it fails to shutdown, it shows exactly the same messages as when it does shutdown properly before the mouse freezes and the psu stays on. I can only imagine that it must be the instruction to the PSU that is failing (or some other hardware is hanging) to cause this. Seen this before?
Cheers, Dan
