'Show hidden icons' button - where is it

Hi! The 'Show hidden icons' button in my taskbar (to the right) is disappeared...! Last night it appeared again but disappeard after I rebooted.. I haven't changed any settings... any idea??

Open explorer, go to tools, foldetr options and hey presto! The old folder options we know and love.

No - I'm having the same problem. I have inactive icons - but the little button that is supposed to SHOW the icons has dissapeared. This isn't an issue of "Show Hidden File Types" in Windows Explorer - we're talking about the taskbar icons.
I think this is an XP bug that somehow loses that HIDE/SHOW button. Anyone know of a fix for it?
