show hidden files/folders problem

everytime i try to click the box for show hidden files and folders or uncheck da box for hide extension known file type. after i did that the hidden files did show.. but after 1 mins or less it automatic hide again the dot goes back to do not shower hidden files and folders and the tick is back on the box for hide extension known file type.

hi bob .. i went into the link u gave me. and then download the bags8000 reg file and import it to da registry.. but didn't work.. :(

Did you click on reset all folders? Is this pc connected to a domain? Perhaps you are getting a policy that sets these.

to ham50 i was sitting next to da comp and no one has come and changing it.. and its not even a min long after it automatically changing back to hide all da files..
to wanderer yes i did click on da reset all folders from folder view section. this pc connect to a router LAN 1 and my laptop connect to da same router LAN 2 this router has 4 ports of LAN for internet.
anyway thx for all da replies..:) this problem doesn't really bother me.. but just annoying..
