If you open the open/save dialog box in most programs, usually there are shortcuts on the left hand side such as my documents, desktop etc... How do you edit the folders/shortcuts that appears there?

I used ResHacker to recompile the Xp dialog to the old 9x dialog [which is still in the file] and no more icons or that extra large Open/Save box and the box opens in the position I want it to [under the address bar] so I don't have to move it to see what I'm saving. I also had to re-align the Encoding drop-down which is in another file somewheres. I prefer to go straight into a file to change things rather than use a registy tweak, but that's me. I hated that big dialog box.
ResHacker can also edit those icons and text for them as well.
The file that contains those dialog boxes is Comdlg32.dll. The Encoding box is in Shdocvw.dll
