Since I read the postings between "One" and DEREK, became a member of this forum and proceeded to download cwshredder from the new site from merjin.org = www.richardthelionhearted.com, along with the "bugoff", and installed also "iespyad", and run them one by one, nonetheless the error message \System32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm still persists and cannot access my own site webmail (OPENWebmail). Would appreciate every help to get rid of the infamous shdoclc.dll within XP OS. XP sp1 100%updated 2 HHD, one just for Programms AMD Duron 1.3, 512 Ram NortonSW 2004 Spybot S&D

chairman, my 2¢ worth, be sure your call to the corrupted file isn't being replicated in 'Restore' by disabling restore THEN scan/clean (Spybot, etc.,?) reenable. Be aware that if you follow this advice, ALL your restore points will be eliminated. In case you need the points DON'T. HTH. Ed in Texas.
