sharing internet with mac

Before I invest any money in this, is it possible to share my XP machines high speed internet connection (attached to my school's network) with an older macintosh running 7.5.5? Would another network card in my PC and a crossover cable do this? Thanks!

Either another card and a crossover cable or you could get a small router. Either would work. I personaly would get the router, that way both computers do not have to be on.

Yes, a router or another nic / crossover cable. I on the other hand, would choose the nic / crossover cable, for the sheer networking knowledge you could receive. Initial cost for nic / crossover would be cheaper, but if you want to get techinical, over time, having both machines on will surpass the cost of a router. Damn tree hugging hippies...
