hi!

i wanted to clone my connection, so it wouldn`t just be a proxy for http, but everything. so i found nice software called SurfDoubler. the trial was for 9 days and i have still 6 days left, but the problem is that the soft worked 3 days fine and now it works for 4 minutes with a fresh boot and then the whole LAN hangs up! both pc`s are using winxp and 2 3Com NICs and 1 Planet. the net is 100Mbit. what`s the problem??? why does it hang. already tried the soft companies support, but they didn`t answer. does anybody now a good soft for total sharing, because i wanna use gamespy and games on the 2nd pc

The best thing to do is to buy a small 8 port switch (trendnet are good) and get your self a router, you can use an old machine and put linux on it!!!

Maybe, but my DSL has DHCP and it`s not so easy to set up! Well, but I found a new solution - WinProxy. It clones your internet connection perfectly and has DHCP server, DNS server and everything you need to host! I configured it as NAT and everything works fine and not only for some minutes like SurfDoubler!
