Comment:

Is it possible to share a CD-RW drive on one PC with other shared PC's. Or do I need to use a shared folder which is accessed by the PC with the burner?

Thanks...

At work I've shared (A) drive with the other PCs in the network (XP,ME & 98), I haven't tried the CD-RW. Don't see why it wouldn't work, but I assume that you will need the burning software installed on your computer.

Can you see the CD-RW Drive on the other computers? All I had to do to share the Drive was to Share it. Right click on the CD-RW Drive in My Computer, click on Sharing & Security. Click on the Sharing tab. Click on the highlighted words (If you understand the risk but still want to share the root of the drive, click here). Go to the Network sharing & security section. Click on the Share this folder on the network. This should fill in the
Share Name for you. Also then check, Allow network users to change my files. Click Apply, then OK. When you return to My Computer you should now see a hand on the drive to be shared. I'll try this out at work tomorrow myself. I have three computers at home but they are not networked.
