One of my routers is connected to the internet via a broadband modem, this router has a built in 4 port switch which feeds 2 computers in a workgroup called BROTHERS, It also gives internet to another router also with a 4 port built-in switch this one feeds internet to 5 other computers (I have expanded the router’s switch using an 8 port switch) these 5 computers belong to a workgroup called ZERO MATRIX-1.
I have no problem at all sharing files within any workgroup.
In brief:
How do I share a file from one workgroup to another?? i can ping any computer anywhere on any lan(workgroup), i can share any file within any lan(workgroup). but i cannot share anything between any lan.
Please don’t tell me to collapse my networks into one … I have chosen to segregate my LAN into 2 networks for security reasons. And collapsing them into one will not achieve that.
1st LAN (BROTHERS) has IP addresses in the range of 192.168.1.x (2 pc's)
2nd LAN (ZERO MATRIX-1) has IP addresses in the range of 192.168.0.x (5 pc's)
Both have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 on each LAN.
Both LAN have internet with no problems at all.
Thank you,
Sam

Just map a drive to the computer. If your trying to get to a computer in Zero matrix-1 then \\computer_name\c$ or whatever directory you want and when the login screen comes up type the name of the computer\admin_name or a user that has admin rights or Read and Write permissions and then the password. Then share the file or folder.
