Shared printer

Hi, I'm having problems connecting to a shared printer on a Windows 2000 computer from a Windows XP Home edition computer. Every time the XP computer is rebooted, it loses the connection. However, I can reconnect to it by typing the UNC Path \\computer1\sharedprinter and entering a username and password. Is there any way to get it to remember the username and password instead of having to retype it every time? Thanks, Patrick

Patrick: start the program you want to use to print a document. on the File menu, click print. in the dialog box, look for a Find Printer button and click it (if available).
if not available: click Start, Printers and Faxes icon, on the Tools menu; click Folder Options, on the View tab, select the Automatically Search for Network Folders and Printers check box, OK.
the printer should now be listed in the Printers and Faxes window.
