SFC /Scannow

Comment:
Using Sfc /scannow,(inserting the Windows CD) and after the bar completes its operation, there is NO result shown. The screen just reverts to its previous position. Does this mean 'Scannow' has completed its repair where necessary, without any 'indication' as to what it has achieved.

Have a look at the system log in the event viewer, Right-click my computer select Manage expand the Event Viewer (under System Tools) then have a look through the System log. Not to sure as it's been a while since i used SFC but they'll probably show up with Windows File Protection as their Source
