Hi

My Dell Dimension 9150 BIOS can see my SATA HDD but Windows Setup says no Drive is present. The machine did work but my children have pulled out the power plug too often...
Dell Utilities Partition runs extensive hardware tests - all pass.
Have swapped the Drive out of curiosity, no change!

How can I get Setup to see the Drive?

Cheers
Sam

You have to press F6 at the very beginning of the Windows installation to install the SATA drivers:

Thanks Guys

The disk is a SATA and the BIOS has correectly identified it.

I'll try F6 at the start of the Setup procedure and see where that leads me :o)

You'll need to download the SATA drivers from Dell's Support site. Enter the ST to obtain those.
