Specs: Windows XP
I am trying to set up folders to be shared privately between two computers on the network... I get to the point of adding permissions and the only location to search for other users is the machine I am currently on, even though the entire network is visible in the network control panel and simple file sharing is working fine and dandy. Any ideas? Both users are logged in with a password, seperately names accounts.

I had done this previously when creating the folder. Do I need
to turn it off universally? Where is that done?

Thanks for the response.

explorer/tools/folder options/view
at the bottom uncheck simple file sharing

same user accounts need to exist on both machines
