Hi guys,
I need set up network with 30 computers. But never done it before. I found some topiks in this forum about Network setting up, but I need more info.
How to choose right network hardware and software?
Could somebody explane step by step? (Like: 1. Get cables 2. Get hub 3. Netwokr adapter or whatever)
Please, any help will be very usefull

The easiest way is to use a wireless network. I use the Linksys Wireless Access Point, and have multiple PC's and Laptops using the USB or built in adapter. I have no problems.

How many computers do you have networked? Wireless is nice in a smaller work environment, but when you get to 30 boxes, the price of wireless can be considerably more expensive than hardwire.

That is pretty true, but if half of your computers, if you have laptops, have a built in wireless card with 11b then it would be nice because the cost of routers can be fairly expensive also. A few of my computers/laptops have built in wireless cards, and I purchased my wireless usb adapters fairly cheap after the rebates from linksys. Either which way you go, 30 boxes will be fairly expensive to network. For an internal network, using database software, it will be more efficient to wire everything up because a wireless network using 11b can only transfer at a maximum of 11mbs.
