I am using LIVE MESSENGER 8.1. I installed the same English kit in two PC with the same English XP. On one of the PC, the TABS (LIVE today and others) are shown in English but the other one in Chinese. How can I set it to English explicitly??

Go to control panel (of the com which shows chinese) and open up your regional and language options. Under the advanced tab, select English as the Language for Non-Unicode Programs. Press OK and reboot. hope this helps

Dear lestertan,
Thank you. The one you told will not work because I'm not talking about English or Chinese setting for non-unicode program. In Messenger, the TABS are all different if IT decided you are Chinese. It will generate some TABS uniqued for Chinese. So, the TABS are basically different for English and Chinese (not just translation). This is true for LIVE TODAY as well. The topics will be different.
So, I think that Messenger has a way to determine that you are Chinese and customize it "automatically". So, is there someone who know how to override it?? Thanks.
