Anyone know how to set favorites to be the same on all users and all new users that will log into a pc. I set all the favorites i want in both "All Users" and "Default Users" but when i log in as admin or user i get none of the favories i put in those folders. I searched through gpedit and registry but after a 5 minute search i figured this is faster...

thanks

For each user change the Favorites value under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

To be the same for each user, will need to be done for each user, but that should do it.

Placing favorites under the default profile, only copies them to the users profile when the new profile is created. New favorites will not be added to the all users favorites, but setting all the users favorites to a specific folder, will make them show up for all the users that logon to the computer.

Have you figured this out yet?

Curious about your PC environment:

When users log into a new PC for the first time, does this generate a user folder in C:\Document...\<username>?

If so, it should use the Default user folder as the template from which to generate the new user folder.
