Solved Set Up Default Printers for 2 XP HW Profiles

Specs: Windows XP
XP HW Profiles and Changing Default Printer

This should be easy, but it isn't. I have set up two hardware profiles under Windows XP on a Dell laptop: docked and undocked. When docked, I want it to use the network printer I set up as the default when connected in the office. At home, I wanted to use my AIO usb-based printer. XP will only keep the last printer I set as default. Any ideas?

✔ Best Answer
Uncheck "printer" in the "Bring local devices and resources" section tab of the RDP connection program settings.

This was the best advice I received rearding HOURS of researching this problem! DEFPTR.EXE is easy to install and easy for the end-user to use.

Thanks SO MUCH!
