Hi

Am trying to connect to my wireless network
with a friends labtop to download some updates
for a antivirus program but the wireless network adapter has been taken more than a hour " acquiring network address " with my other two pcs i have no problem connecting.

One thing about my frinds labtop is that some - services are disabled or are just not there
and trying to enable and run the services i get error messages.

What I like to know is which services must be
enabled and running so the wireless adapter can get connected.

Thanks.

Just turn off Wireless zero configuration (WZC) service, or set it to manual and turn it on when you need it. The WZC is responsible for broadcasting Acquiring network address.

The proper term would be "laptop." LOL
