Dell has a small program at their support site here:

http://support.euro.dell.com/uk/en/home.asp

Press Fix My Dell and when it asks for your service tag # right under the empty box is a "find my service tag" option, select that and it will run the program to find it.

Vivere,

I have several Dell Dimension PCs. The Service Tag is located on the left panel of the tower. It is a clear sticker located on the upper right of the left panel. In addition the Service Tag number is printed on a white bar code label affixed to the back of the tower. Here is the link to Dell:

Dell Express Service Tag

Hope this helps.

Roadford ..... I like to thank you too for helping me and my communication so far with DELL gets me nowhere , but I have one question for you . Does it say "Service Tag" on the label / sticker ,which I have found ,But no Number correspondent with any numbers on that label with the back of the Tower .
On the back I have CMBXDOJ with no barcode ..(( been told over the phone by one of Dells people 8 months ago ,that that is my Service Tag , However if I type that code in it does not accept it ..))
and also got this on the back ... Model No. 3612KL-04W.B66 .. made in China
On the sticker left of the panel .. I got barcode with this No.5D481
Then I got ..
Product Key M8GB2-764H8-D3HP7.6B6G3-C9KYG
Last one on that sticker is X08.34930
and of the back of the Monitor I have in circles D F1 N S
I send DELL my Name / Address in England / Customer Number / Dell Order No. / Purchased Order No. every time I been E/Mailing Dell yesterday . Yet they still keep asking me for the same over and over again
Also sending all the Numbers to Dell ,I would have thought they could tell me which is the Service Tag number ..

Replays from Dell ....yesterday . 3 times ,more and less the same

We assure you of our best services at all times.
Please accept my apologies for the difficulties you
encountered with your technical issues. The Service Tag number
you provided does not seem to be valid. Could you please check
that number again? If possible, please tell us who the system
is registered to and what your customer and/or order number is
for this system. In addition, so that we can be sure we are
talking about the same system, exactly what model is this system
as it is seen on the front label?
If you are unble to find your tag please provide me the order/customer
number.
"Which I have done every time" ...........If I get through by phone I get a Lady from INDIA asking me where I am in AMERICA ......Which suppose to be technical service and help .
I trust Roadford you see my problem , the link you given me .. I get "the page cannnot be displayed "

Vivere,

Sorry the link didn't work for you. Here is the URL (you will need to cut & paste):

http://support.dell.com/us/en/kb/document.asp?DN=FA1035589

In addition here is the service tag link for Dell UK:

http://support.euro.dell.com/uk/en/kb/document.asp?DN=FA1035589

FYI my service tag reads:
www.dell.com
Service Tag: (numbers here)
Express Service Code: (numbers here)

and the white label on the back has a bar code with the same numbers that are listed on the label described above but nothing else. HTH
