OS: WindowsXP SP2
CPU/Ram: 3GHz/2GB
Product: Intel P4
Comment:

Is the full version of SP3 available on CD? I regularly re-load operating systems but am stuck with dialup for the time being.

If not, could someone burn it to CD for me?

Thanks.

I've not heard of MS putting it onto a CD.

Maybe someone can send it but it would be worth giving a rough idea of your location.

If you have a friend with broadband they could burn it onto a CD from one of the download links in this post:

Note that these links are to the FULL SP3 so it is large (about 316M) whereas Windows Update is only around 65M because it only downloads the changes you need for your own particular machine.

You can download it from MS's site. I just snagged it today. Don't have the URL right now.

Here's the link for an ISO download so you can make your own SP3 CD. Be aware it's over 500 MB;

Uh ... thanks. But as I explained in my original post, I need SP3, not a link or or an ISO.

Huh?

I thought I'd covered that in #1.

Unless you are prepared give some broad indication about where you are you might not get many takers. I'm in the UK but that might not be too handy.

500+ MB's? Can that be right. It's only 316-odd MB's.

Guess they got different versions.
