Okay, here's the situation:
I got a virus on my computer a while ago and I couldn't get rid of it so I decided to reformat my computer and reinstall windows XP. So when I installed it, the computer re-booted. Still having the CD in the drive, it said: "press any key to boot from CD". Not paying attention I pressed a key, and re-installed it again. Now when I did this re-installation i accidentally pressed another key and installed Windows XP into my E: drive. (I have 3 drives; C:, D:, and E:). So now I have Windows XP on my C: drive and E: drive. My computer is now running considerably slower and I'm confident that this is the problem. I tried many differnt things, such as reformatting the E: drive to make it a FAT32 file system so that when I installed Windows XP again to the drive, I could remove it via the Add/Remove Programs function in the Control Panel, as per the Help and Support link in the Start Menu. Obviously this didn't work. So, anyways, long story short, I have 2 windows XP's on my computer and it's creating all sorts of havoc. It never ran this slow before and now it's driving me nuts. Basically all I want to do is reformat the entire computer (all 3 drives) and re-install Windows XP fresh as if it were for the very first time, thus leaving only ONE windows XP... If anyone could PLEASE help that would be great.
Thanks,
Emir
