Does anyone know of a reason why I can't access a device through my serial port. I have a GPS unit that will work fine on my machine that is running 98, but I have 3 machines running XP that says it is not connected. Device Manager says the com port is working fine. Thanks

Should be the wrong drivers version. You may want to make sure you are using Win2K drivers.
