Using IE for browser. Now that I have upgraded to XP, whenever I go to send a link it sends the link in the email as an attachment, other than a hyperlink in t he body of the message. How do I correct this to send the link in the body of the message?

Are you using outlook express? If so, try this: click on tools, options, then click the send tab and check the setting for mail sending format. Check HTML.

Thanks for reply, but HTML is checked. Still sends link as an attachment in email rather than as link in body of message.

In IE, go to mail, and then compose. Just above the message area, is a drop-down box titled 'Tools.' Click on Tools, and then on Rich Text Editor On. This will add an additional toolbar, where you can add a link to the message body, Paste, as well as other options. Enjoy!
Richard -- Rich text is checked, still sending as email attachment. Also noticed on my new mail composition, that cut, past, insert hyperlink, etc. are shadowed out and not available for use. Must have something else set wrong. Any other suggestions? Many thanks.
Thanks to all that replied. Windows XP does not allow links to be inserted into the message body from create new mail message in IE -- only sends it as an attachment by design. However, you can always cut and paste the URL from the IE address bar into the body of your new mail message.
