I use a scanner that sends the scanned item
to a Windows folder called "Scans". The file
type of the scanned item is a .pdf.If you right mouse click on the file in the
folder you can "Send To - Mail Recipient".Is there a way to set up a rule that would
make this process automatic?Example -
1. New file in folder.
2. Automatically attaches file to email in
Outlook etc...
3. Enter Recipient - Press SendThank you in advance for your help.

Probably not if there is any manual input required. Perhaps a batch file would do what you want after the file is scanned. What's the make/model of the scanner?

What is a batch file?
The current scanner is a Panasonic DP190,
however this rule would apply regardless of
the scanner itself. This rule could even apply to a digital
camera.Example-
1. Take picture with camera.
2. Attach camera to pc.
3. Picture syncs to My Pictures folder.
4. New picture file in My Pictures folder
automatically attaches itself to new email. How do you create a rule that sees a new file
in a particular folder and automatically
attaches it to a new email?

Read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batch_... which defines "Batch file."
According to Google results, you have an all-in-one, which means it has the ability to do what you want. Check the manual on how to generate an email and send a scanned item. And, assuming you want to use Outlook as your default email client, make sure it's setup that way. Outlook doesn't have the ability to do this using just a rule.
You might be able to use VBA to do what you want, but since you don't know what a batch file is, I'm assuming you're not familiar with programming either.
