I've been trying to add Notepad to my Send To list. I opened C:\Documents & Settings\Default User\Send To\New Shortcut\Notepad.exe . I also tried dragging Notepad.exe into Send To and although its listed in Send To it doesn't show up when I try to use it. What am I doing wrong ?

Do as you already have and get the file tree open, then click on the Windows Folders, once you find the notepad.exe file, right click on it and hold down the right mouse button, then drag the file to the "sendto" folder, release the right mouse button and choose copy to, this should take care of the problem. I just did it without and it worked just fine.

In My Computer windows->Tools->Folder Options->View tab->under Advanced Settings, check Remember each folder's view setting option.

Hope this helps. Bye

Help defines Default User as:

default user
The profile that serves as a basis for all user profiles. Every user profile begins as a copy of the default user profile.

Maybe what you want is All Users profile or your profile.

Thanks everybody, appreciate it. Notepad is now listed in my Send To menu and it works fine.
