I recently bought an OEM XP, i installed it once, used it for a week, had to format, and now it wont work(hardware issue), im making the switch to Vista in hope of better luck. But i was wondering if i could sell the XP OEM on ebay, even though i activated once. I would be selling the install CD and the COA.

You could be the chances are that the buyer will not be able to activate it, with or without the COA, as it is a different computer.
If you had a hardware problem with XP what makes you thing it will be any better with Vista? Vista is likely to be more fussy about hardware than XP. Software hardly ever solves hardware problems.

yea im not sure of what else to do, read more here: http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/...
i RMA'ed the processor, and im gonna try installing xp one more time.

You better forget about trying to sell used OEM CD on ebay. Quoted under eBay paragraph entitled What About OEM, Volume Licensing or Academic Software?
OEM –OEM software is intended for original equipment manufacturers who preinstall this specially licensed software onto the PCs they manufacture. An OEM version may only be distributed as part of a fully assembled computer system. A fully assembled computer system consists of at least a central processing unit, a motherboard, a hard drive, a power supply and a case. Don’t be fooled by a seller providing OEM software alone.

RE 4: Ive sold OEM Xp on ebay before(new), as long as you sell it with a piece of hardware, i sold mine with a old peice of RAM.
RE 3/5: I did, and upon restart, i started getting "Blue Screen's" and "Stop errors". Tested RAM, it was ok, so that leaves the processor, im in the process of returning it for a new one right now. And if this dont work, guess that leaves the Mobo.

I don't think its the processor. processors do not half work, they are either dead or not. from your last post "hard drive(IDE 160gig) recently decided to die, so i had to buy a new one(SATA 250gig". If everything was fine before this, do you have an old ide drive to try out.

yup, i had a 40gig IDE, installing windows on that one, same thing as the SATA drive(mega slow). So i concluded it was either the OS, the Processor, or the Mobo. Once i get my new processor replacement, and it dosent work, ill replace the Mobo, gonna go down the list, lol.
another thing that made me this it was the pocessor was the fact that when i look at the cpu usage, only one core was doing everything and the other was flat lined, heres a screenshot: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y8...

It "could" be the cpu - especially if it has overheated at some time past... (and one may not necesarily "know" it has cooked slightly in the past...)
When you "tested" RAM - how did you go about that? Whilst RAM/Memory tester utils often seem to work..., for me the best test is direct substitution. Reduce to a single stick (min 128Meg) and see if the problem persists...; logically trying each stick in turn... Also clean the RAM edge-contacts; someone here recently suggested using a soft pencil eraser to do this...

I tested each stick individually using the program "Memtest", i let it run for about 20 mins each stick, i also ran it twice, just to be safe, and each time it said "no errors."
so my bet is the CPU, i did do some hardcore gaming, in a hot room(the first couple days i had it). So when i get my replacement, im going to get an after market cooler, and an air conditioner for my room, lol.

mmm... duz looketh a little (a lotte?) lyke the cpu...
Please to keepeth us all informed; we're all on tenter hooks for the answer...
