where do you want them to go?

In internet explorer when you select to download a file it will automatically be sent to the last place that you downloaded to.

In order to change this you must select to "save" the downloaded file and reselect where you wish it to be saved to.

Most people set up a new download folder either on the "desktop" for easier navigating or to "my documents folder"

If you choose to just download a file by selecting download and not save then it will automatically go to the C:Documents and Settings/temp folder...this is not the "my Documents' area.

Xerox, If you're not getting the Save In box do the following:

Open My Computer, or any other form of Windows Explorer. Select Tools -> Folder Options ->
File Types tab & select your file type (example.zip). Click the Advanced button and tic(.)"Confirm
open after download."
