I have XP Pro. I get a disk not found at regular boot. If I boot from the CD-ROM the system sees that CD-ROM and any others I would put in. So far I have reset the default boot sequence,uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the CD-ROM,and disabled anti-virus
Yes I played around with the order of the bios a little bit. Right now I have a minor inconveience I have to boot from the cd to use it. Going to deep into the registry or the bios might accidently lead to a reinstall situation not worth it. I am going to uninstall the last couple of programs I installed Encarta 2002 and Merriam-Webster's dictionary and if this does not work not worry about The dictionary program is both MAC and Windows compatable which might cause the problem . Very rarely do I install by CD-ROM anyway.
