Can someone please tell me how to make a wireless broadband connection secure. I have a wireless router connected to a cable modem broadband connection. Two laptops access the internet via this router. Everything is fine, as things pretty much work out of the box, but the connection is an open, rather than a secured connection.

However, on going into the router settings, i can see options to set up 128bit secured WEP network using encryption keys. So on setting this up, the connection asks for a passkey which i enter and the network is now shown as secured, but with limited connectivity which means i cannot access the internet.

Does anyone know where i can find a basic, step by step guide to setting up wireless broadband and making the connection secure.

Thanks
