Hello,
Does anyone know why a PC would not be able to login to websites that require a login, but other PC's that this person has have no problem?
For instance a company website that requires a login or another example is that it will load the msn page, but will not acknowledge a login to get msn email.
Is it an I.E. setting or something else. There is no software or hardware firewall.
Thank you
raincheck

you are trying to hide who you are when you are surfing. Annonimous surfing software installed? If a web site cannot verify where you are then you will not be allowed to visit that site and in order to verify you they must see your IP address and the ID of your computer. Period. No getting around this.

No anonymous surfing software or any intention to be anonymous.
There are 4 PC's involved here, all 4 are running XP. The only difference is 2 have had all of the windows updates installed religiously, and two never have been updated.
It's the two that haven't been updated that have no problem, the updated PC's get a blank screen that says "done" at the bottom when they try to login.

Try start>run and type in:
regsvr32 softpub.dll
If it's still not working, there are more steps to try in this KB article.
