One of my customers has a custom built machine. They cannot get to secure web sites. They are fine surfing the web, but once they try and access a https website, they are almost always disconnected and have to redial.
I'm checked their IE security and it is fine. I've reset advanced IE settings to default. I've added S10=200 to the advanced modem settings. Anybody else have any new ideas? My next option will prolly be a driver upgrade for the LT Winmodem.

They are using some type of stealth program to hide their IP address from outside viewers. If the secure sites can't verify where you are comeing from they boot you out. period. no way around it either.

Thanks for the advice, I just want to clarify something. When I say they are disconnected, I mean that the modem loses the connection and needs to redial back into the server. It's not just that the page cannot be displayed.
As for the stealth software, this customer is barely computer literate and I doubt they would know how to install such software.
Summary: I cannot log into any secure sites. Since I installed an update of AVG 7.0 a couple of days ago, I can no longer access any SSL sites such as my bank, my hotmail account or even Paypal, ebay, amazon....
