Hi I was wondering if there would be any problem installing a secondary hard drive off my old computer system (AMD 450mhz Window 98 SE) on to my new computer.
I basically want to get the files and other info I have stored their on to the new one.
If I attempt to install it will there be any unexpected surprises? And if their is what other ways can I get this info off apart from dropping all the files on to CD and copying accross?
I realise about jumper settings (master/slave etc) and connections I am worried about the different operating systems causing havoc.
Sorry for the stupid question by the tecnically inferior!

You shouldn't have any problems. Just make sure that if the drives are on the same ide cable the old Win98 drive is the slave.

Thanx Sandman, I thought that might be the case, but brain fade has been known to happen to me before!
Thanks again.
Cheers!
