Created a second user account (w/Administrator priviliges) but it will not connect to the Internet. (It freezes the whole machine when I try and open IE.) The main account runs fine--no problems with the Internet connection.
I'm using a cable modem to connect.
Any advice? I'm having no luck so far.

David Cavallo, can't help thinking your problem lies somewhere in settings. Carefully compare the two accounts and be sure they're the same.
