I sure hope someone can help on this...
The PC OS became unstable due to malware. Won't boot, but physically SATA drive is good.
I installed a new SATA drive and restored with Dell disks, everything is fine. Now I installed the original drive in as a second drive. Windows sees the drive but thinks it's not formatted. I can't access the drive.
I was sure I would see the data on this second drive, and be able to copy it over.
Any ideas? It shows no file system, windows prompts to format it. Please help, I'd lve to get that data!
(Dell wouldn't have used the FAT32 file system on that original drive, would they?)

How do you know the drive was good if Windows didn't boot?
