I have some weird worm or virus going around the office. First one computer the windows search function stopped finding file, evening if you used the exact file name in the correct directory. If you hit stop, the button would be disabled but the search would show that it was still running. Next this same problem spread to 3 other computers on the network. All computers have Norton 2006 w/ current updates; all the current windows updates; and all have been checked with Spybot and Ad-aware and have found nothing. Repairing windows didn't fix, the only thing that fixed it was a new install; but on the other two there is a LOT of settings and software to backup. Anyone ever heard of a virus or worm like this?

Check if any of the fixes under 'Why doesn't Search work' are applicable. sLLs
