search engine problems!!!!!!!!

hi, i recently tryed to in stall a thing called MSAENT. when i tryed and load it up it din'y work. but i know the program should work beacause i had it on my old pc(WINME). it was installed in the WINDOWS folder. and (I know this was realy stupid) but i tryed moving the file's together and now when i click on start search it makes the noice its suppose to make when you load up MSAGENT(but for some reason it make's the sound when i try and load up the search engine) and come's up with an error message saying a file that is requried to run search compainion cannot be found. you may need to run set-up. wot i think iv done is you know when you search(with the search engine) it has that charecter at the bottom(rover the dog merlin ect.) i think i might of moved that from my search engine.can anyone help me???(like by telling me where the search engine folder is or somthing) thankz for your help. p.s i already tried stystem restore but it had trouble restoring....
